About Don
Don Bundrick is a self taught artist who has been creating rustic twig furniture and architectural detailing for nearly three decades. His one of a kind pieces are crafted from the native woods that surround his studio in Tallulah Falls, Georgia. All of his wonderfully whimsical creations express his unique personality through the use of vivid colors, unusual finishes, hand carved embellishments, and often times found objects he gathers in walks around his home. Whether it is a piece of hammered copper fashioned into a delightful dragonfly, an arching trout carved into the backrest of a bench, a piece of natural driftwood used as an armrest in a chair, or a spiderweb fashioned from mountain laurel in a boathouse railing, Don’s work is a reflection of his intuitive spirit of design. His work has been featured in numerous magazines and publications over the years and is displayed in galleries and collections from Japan to all parts of the U.S. His rustic architectural detailing is a prominent addition on many fine high end homes in the Southeast. Don is a long time member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild in Asheville N.C. and also teaches at the John C. Campbell Folk School and Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts.
